What is the impact of Facebook on the artistic-creative system? Vlokt all together to a few broad spots where everyone knows everyone, everyone and anyone regardless of nationality or age affected? Or the chaos, the diversity within 'groups' actually increased and that just fun? Do we self-destructive ghetto-formation, or break here and a traditional scary scene and decided to just open in unexpected directions? Everything remains the status quo and is now just visible, that we-know-artistic types among us? Are this the right questions while the world is full of urgencies?

The new project Richting Porseleinkast of the successful administrator Lieven Cateau is almost exclusively a Facebook event. The project launches, the invitations, the whole organization is known within the social networking application run. The result can be seen during the first weekend of October 2009.

Today, Philippe Van Cauteren (artistic director S.M.A.K.) made a visit to the artist studio's located in the Léopold barracks. This was an ideal opportunity for him to get acquinted with our work.

Under the denominator 'Changement Régulier' the first floor of block E of the Léopold barracks, the building where my studio is established, became each time embellished with a work of myself and changed on regular basis. More than twenty works have been exposed for a period of a year and brought extra colour and live into the building, which offers access to visual artists and mucisians. Althought the initiative could count on a lot of positive responses, this project finishes with a negative note.

The last work that was exhibitioned was a polyptych (50 x 200 cm., oil on canvas) and never shown before. Here the painting is see entirely still on archive image, but unfortuneatly the third panel is stolen.

Of the robber is lacking any track at the moment. The painting has been seen last in completeness on Sunday evening 23 December 2007, but since Tuesday morning 25 December that could have been no longer said. The separate panel is worthless and it's also not signed.

The multidisciplinary jury of the art competition All True Artists, existing out of eight renowned artists and programmators (Luc Tuymans, Dieter Roelstraete, Carla Arocha, Stephane Schraenen, Martijn Vogelaers, Alex Salinas and fashion label Les Hommes) made a shortlist of twenty finalists and has chosen four winners. The disclosure of the selected artists and prize distribution takes place Saturday the 22th of December at 22h.00 in Lucy* in Antwerp.

A collective exhibition with the twenty finalists of this art competition will take place from Saturday the 22th of December 2007 till Sunday the 6th of January 2008.

Three works are selected for 'Arnoevoo', a competition for young contemporary Flemish artists. From the 10th of November till the 8th of December 2007 you can visit the group-exhibition in the Belgian coastal city Bredene and see my works in The Staf Versluys Meeting and Event Center, Kapelstraat 76, Bredene.

The next solo exhibition takes place in Cypres Gallery into the city of Louvain.

Open Ateliers / Open Artist Studio's # 06

Together with 40 in Ghent established Visual Artists I'll take part at the 6th edition of 'Open Ateliers'.

On Saturday the 13th of October my studio will be open for the general public between 16h.00 and 22h.00 and from 21h.30 there will be a party downstairs.
The next day Sunday the 14th of October the workshop will be open from 14h.00 till 20h.00. You are welcome.

Location studio Brantt:
Located on the first floor in block E of the Leopold Barracks (100 meters from MSK and SMAK), Kattenberg 4, 9000 Gent.

By visiting my studio you can feel the work atmosphere and the last developments of my work.
